Yamaha anode question

hi all, just noticed yesterday that my two anodes are extremly corroded. The picture I posted is the one I received that is flat, meanwhile the one I took off had a 5 inch fin coming off of it. Whats the difference between the two and is it alright to use the flat one or should I buy the other one? whats the point of the 2 anodes and what happens if they corrode to the point they are useless? thankk you

If the one with the fin does not hit the prop when it turns, then it has more mass for more/longer protection and it will counter act prop torque when adjusted properly
