motor was in storage for 3 years i bought it and properly cleaned the carb system , really dirty, cln the tank and ran the unit upon the test drive at high rpm motor slowed and stalled , upon attempt to restart , it would not turn over then 2 mins later turned and then started???? thinking that maybe the oil pump was also clogged and the motor did not have oil on the top of the rpm range, as of now it runs well but did i damage it buy not cking the oil pump??? any info would be great

Are you certain it didn't overheat?

I would suggest running 50:1 oil mix in fuel tank until you're sure the oil system is working.

Re: yamaha 93 200 hp pro v help

i did not hear any alarm and it seemed to run well up to the point of it seizing i had mixed a litle oil in with the fuel but only 32 oz. and the tank holds 40 gals
id say it did not over heat and i have been thru a few tanks since then and it is using oil so im not sure what to think???
it has heated up once and i think it might need a new impeller , maybe the orig one is weak??
