Yamaha 90hp ?

Hi all,<br /><br />I came across this site recently. Wow want a trove of information. <br /><br />I just recently acquired and new boat ( new to me at least) with a '94 Yamaha 90hp motor. My questions is does the gauge that came with this motor have a light in it for night time use. The gauge is shown in the manual but I can't seem to find out if there is a light in it for illumination. If there is I need to find out how to get it to work. Eveything else on the gauge is fine. <br /><br />Thanks in advance<br />Gunter

There is a blue and a black wire on the back side of the gauge.You can put the blue wire in the yellow wire that comes from the remote control. And the black to the black wire.<br />Now you don't need any switch for the gauge light, it's always on when you have the ignition on. It' so simple........
