I have a 2000 T9.9exry and when I run my outboard in a bucket of water I get some white creamy oil build up in the water, but I'm unsure where the oil leak is. I just replaced the seals in the lower unit and there does not seem to be any water in the lower unit gear lube. I'm worried that the oil might be leaking from the lower crank shaft seal. I hoping that this is not the case but can't think of another possibility. If anyone has any thoughts on how to tell where the oil is coming from it would be much appreciated. Also has any one had to replace the lower crank shaft seal? It sounds like a nightmare.
