My yam 80 circa (1984) is overheating at 4000 rpm, leave 2 min to cool then runs fine till 4000 again,( also stops peeing at that range).
Its had a new powerhead/temp senor/impella and sleeve/timing and carbs has been checked and set by pro.
It has been surgested that the powerhead may not of sealed properly and that the exhaust may be presurising the cooling system ( but have no water in the plugs).
Its also been surgested that there may be an obstruction in the water system (even thou it pees good till 4000).
I removed the thermostat to see if it was still the same without it ( and it was).
Has anybody got any other thoughts b4 I have to remove and refit the powerhead?
