i am at my wits end. I have a f80tlry, 2000 model i think. i burned up the impeller when getting it ready for fishing (forgot to turn on water hose). pulled lower unit and found impeller destroyed and stainless cup melted into housing. I have replaced the gaskets, impeller, cup, housing. I pulled thermostat, ran water through every orofice I could find to flush out the bits and pieces of old impeller (thermostat housing, cooling channel housing, weep line, water pipe that goes into water pump). I put it all back together and still have "prostate" problems with pee line (weak stream). I know the cooling channel housing is clean, pulled it twice and made sure there were no blockages. thermostat is working like its supposed to. at the lake this weekend it would run for five minutes then alarm would go off. pulled hose off top of cooling channel housing that runs to thermostat and discovered that NO water was making it to the thermostat. I know i have the impeller in correctly, I have the pipe is sealing around the water pump housing. I am at a loss, can't figure out what to do next except pull the motor to pieces and track down every channel. any ideas on what would cause the water pressure to not fill up the cooling channel and reach the thermostat?

i have also looked at the pressure control valve, it seems to be fine. spring is good and tight and the plastic plug doesn't stick in the rubber grommet. i am at a loss as to what to do.
