Yamaha 700

Give me a MerCruiser and I am a happy puppy.

Unfortunately, our teenage son found a Yamaha jetski and it followed him home!!

So here is my question ? This jetski is a ?94, model: WRA700 S. The engine is in need of a rebuild and we want to replace it. The current engine data plate reads ?J700 70?, ?62G 013819?.

We have located a 650 Yamaha engine. Can the 700 be switched out for the 650? The option is a complete tear-down and rebuild of the 700, which may be in the cards later; however, we are looking right now at an engine change out just to get this thing on the water.

In place of a 700, will the 650 set in and connect up? Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help!!

never had to do that so I can't say for sure but the 94 650 and 94 700 look pretty similar,, it may just be possible but you will neet to check everything pretty carefully.

check with parts@jetkingparts.com see if joe has a good used one and stay with the 700 it is a really reliable and strong engine in comparison to the 650,,
