Hi new on here and looking for help.
I have a yamaha 60hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke autolube. No engine plate and no idea of year (around 1996).
It runs great but when fitting new gauge I found no signal from green wire. Followed back to find lighting coils burnt out. Got replacements but no have issues.
Coils are part number 6H28553300. However they are too fat. Bolt holes are the same. Flywheel fits over fine. However as they are much fatter the stop the inner section (with the charge coil and three matching plastic things) from moving. This part moving governs the max throttle setting. Engine now runs and charges the battery but only goes to 2500 revs.
Tried loads of marine yam dealers and no one can shed any light on the matter.
Hoping someone on here can help.
Cheers
