Hi everyone,
First post ever on a forum as usually I find what Im looking for from other threads. Now I am completely stuck, frustrated and out of ideas.
I have a Yamaha 60hp 4 stroke carb model

When it starts and runs Fuel comes pouring out the 2nd carb (2nd from top) from the overflow hole

I have Cleaned all carbs, compressed air and cleaner, replaced needles with brand new ones (NOT CHEAP!) and polished all the seats like new.

WHY WHY WHYYYY ????? Is it still overflowing? Ive taken them on/off a millions times. Does not make sense.

PLEASE HELP!

THANKS!

only reasons fuel would come out of the carb vent(not an overflow hole).
Would be the needle is not closing off or the seat o ring seal is bad allowing fuel to bypass the needle and seat.
Some things that could cause needle to not seat properly:
Needle or seat messed up
float sticking
damaged float sinking
Float not set properly

Thanks for replys, needles are brand new. Seats are polished and look clean as. When I turn upside down and blow through its tight as. When I pump fuel it all still pours out the vent. Going insane.

Tear your carb apart, have a cab manual next to you, is the vent ok like the manual ? what parts are needed to replace the vent, something goes in the vent hole, replace the vent parts.

Figured it out - was the bloody gasket letting fuel in as it enters carb......I was focusing on needle and seat which were fine. Thanks everyone.
