first time I'm instaling bigger outboard.
its yamaha 50 hp, 2004y.
i instaled 703 remote control but under the hood there are 2 conectors.
what for they are?
what cables di I need to conect to the tach display?
Those two connectors connect to a wire harness that runs to a Yamaha tachometer and/or trim gauge. The harness comes in varying lengths. Shortest is part number 68F-82553-50-00.
next question is about charging batery.
Iconected +12 to starter solenoid and - to starter casting. What do I need to charge batery.
I think motor already has rectifer on the powerhead.
The battery is charged via the battery cables. Current goes from the battery to the motor to start the motor. When the motor is running current goes from the motor to the battery to charge the battery.
