I have twin 1998 Yamaha 50 4 stroke engines on a RIB. I noted late last season and now this season that sometimes (not always) I lose power on the starboard engine. The symptoms are as follows: <br />It only ever happens after the engine has run at full throttle for 15 - 20 mins. If I throttle way back the engine runs fine but looses power if I try to open it up again. If I stop for say 10 mins and run the engine up again it more than likely will run fine. The problem never shows up if I open the throttle up while out of gear. <br />It sounds like maybe a fuel pump or carburetor problem.<br /><br />Note the engines were serviced recently, the gas is good, and have new water filters. Service dept couldnt find anything wrong
I think its a tough one because it is intermittent.<br /><br />Any ideas
