Hello all,
I have been a long time lurker of reading posts and purchasing, but I finally ran into my first issue. I purchased a 1995 Chaparral Signature 24 from someone in need of cash. Long story short - the exhaust manifold was rusted through and needed replacing. I ordered the Sierra 18-1953-2 manifold and the Sierra 18-1976-2 center riser elbow. The issue comes from the Yamaha way of having two hoses to the riser. Do I need to cap off one of the hoses, if so which one, or should they be spliced together? Worse case scenario, I have to bold the old riser back on, but it won't last more than a few seasons. Please let me know if anyone else has figured this out as the only post I could find reused the old riser.
