Yamaha 40DR

Hello

I try to find information old Yamaha 40hp engine but i can't find any reliability information that engine.

I think engine is made 1981 (R), Model is 40DR and serial 676BL-55**90

Where i can get parts manual and wiring diagram - local Yamaha dealer "can't help" - thay can sale parts, but only if customer knows part code (they dont have old part catalog, only up to -84).

That model was not offered here in the US. Best you can do is use 1984 model 40SN parts for which there is a good possibility they will fit. Same with the service manual. Get one for the 1984 40SN model.

Here is a link to a UK website where you can view a 1978 40B parts catalog. See if stuff used on it looks like your motor. Compare the part numbers to the US part numbers used on a 40SN.
