My 2000 ysnsha c40 tiller non oil injected REVS what seems to be super fast when cold started. Can someone confirm what rpm these should be turning when cold started before it automatically drops the rpm (part of the quick start procedure). Also when it kicks down to slow speed after cold start it stalls. It will restart right away and rev super high then stall upon kick down. Does this about 3 times then is fine after it is warmed up. Carbs have been cleaned spotlessly and quick START solenoid checked out fine on ohm resistance test and checking for needle movement when power is supplied to it. Please help it is an otherwise awesome motor

I am asking what rpm the engine should be revving to on a cold START? The processor holds rpm up high then kicks it down to a normal idle speed. Mine sounds like it is revving too high before it drops to normal idle. Also why does it die when it comes off of fast idle? Have to go through 2 or 3 restart procedures before it is idling without stalling

Mine is a C90 1999 model, in many ways similar to your motor.....when I cold start my motor I crack open the throttle just a bit until the motor starts, then leave the throttle cracked open for a warm up RPM of about 1500 for a minute or so until I close the throttle and let the motor idle down to maybe 750 to 850 RPM's.....your motor shouldn't rev way up at cold start....check carb and throttle linkages for binding or adjustment issues...

Mine is a TILLER. If something were binding it would exhibit problems when warmed up too. Just a thought

Anybody have a tach hooked up to theirs that can confirm START up rpm on 3 CYLINDER 2 STROKE 40 or 50 hp?
