Yamaha 4 Stroke Break In

I just purchased a new 25hp Yamaha 4 stroke. The dealer didn't have the manual and ordered one for me that I will get later in the week. I would like to break the motor in this weekend. The mechanic at the dealer said to run it for about 6 to 10 hours. Idle to warm it up, and then vary the throtle (1/4, 1/2open etc...). Does this sound about right to get the seals to set themselves? Does anyone else have this motor and been thru this process, or have a manual for the motor with what it says. Thanks.
