Yamaha 4 HP schematic??

Where can I obtain the exploded schematics of a Yamaha 4HP ? Does Yamaha or anyone else have a website where schematics are posted for the do-it-yourselfer? I am trying to understand the cooling system : water flow , thermostat anatomy .

Is that the Yamahe with the gas tank built in?<br />What year is it?

Yes, the Yamaha 4HP has the gas tank built into it . I do not have the exact year . It appears to be from the late 90's , perhaps 98, 99 .

I have a Clmer manual that covers many horspower Yammies. I looked through it for an area that would specify the cooling system with No luck. <br />If you have a FAX machine I can look through it and give you anything that 'looks interesting'. e-mail me offline with the number <br /><br />hoffman_t@tdipower.com

Thank you Tony H . The bulletin board would not let me send you an e-mail off-line. Any info on the cooling system is of interest. The water stream that usually pours out of the back ceases to flow after a few minutes . I suspect either a blockage in the passages or a thermostat issue. A schematic would help me better understand what I'm up against before I go into a disassembly mode. i've never tackled a marine engine before . I'm guessing it resembles auto design / principles. I don't want any surprises. Thank you for any assistance you can lend.

I gave you my e-mail address above so you can send me your address after leaving the websight.<br />As I said though, I see nothing in this manual on the cooling systems of any horsepower motor. They show a picture of the Thermostat location aand they give you a blow by blow on the Impellar replacement but they do not show anything resembling a Visible motor with a cooling path.
