Has anyone had any trouble with running a Yamaha 250 V X series in the salt water before? I am considering buying a boat (1990 wellcraft with a 250 and a 9.9 kicker) When I took the cowling off there was minimal but some paint pealing off the top of the motor. My friend said that was the begining stage of corosion. there are 480 hrs on the boat/motor. Not sure if the hr meeter was installed when boat was new but the seller says it was. Any thoughts? What all should I have the mechanic look at when I take it in for a compression test? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.<br />Thank you, <br />Dave
