Hello, I’m hopping to get some help

Motor is 2002 Yamaha 225hp ox66

I just bought the motor and having issues with the tilt and trim

I tested the relay by removing the green wire and giving it power and motor went down, did the same for blue and motor went up, figured faulty relay, replaced the relay, no go, no tilt from the motor or controls

I tested the motor tilt switch and works fine

So I disconnected everything , 4 wires coming from the pump, only way to get the motor to raise or lower is by connecting the black and say green wires to positive and blue wire to negative , motor goes up and down, any video I watched you should just connect green to power and it would go down, but the only way it works is to connect the green to the black wire in the harness

I’m trying to put the switch in directly to atleast be able to use the boat on the weekend but nothing I’m doing seems to work

Okay, not sure how to splice in but I think I have an idea. Normal things to think of are bad ground, electric motor or fuse. Because you made it run my bet you have a bad fuse somewhere. They love to hide those things so search all around the motor for some kind of fuse holder.

Did some more digging and it is fused. The red wire going to your relay should be hot without the switch being used so if it's not you have no power for some reasons. Still betting fuse. Here is a way to test you relay next time.

there is no fuse on the power to the T&T motor, yes there might be on the control part, but not on the main power.
the relay is making noise (picking up) so the controls are fine

I would guess it is on the negative side, but that is just my thoughts without testing anything.
do you have a battery switch?
maybe there is a problem with a connection there or at the battery itself

Not sure what 99 is saying because you made no reference to the relay clicking. Here is where some Yamahas hide the fuse. Port side front in a box.

sorry confused it with another thread saying relay clicked.
if relay does not click then yes it is in the control side

I know that happens to me too, I'll read a couple of threads and then cross them up. Age thing I think!!
