Hi all, this is a great forum. Very informed people here. thanks for all the knowledge I have already gained.

I have a couple of questions though. I recently obtained a 20 hp yamaha (2yr old)wiht very few hours on it. I was looking at Yamaha's web site and noticed they say to mix oil at 100:1, is this for just the 2003 models or should I be using that for mine to?

Re: Yamaha 20hp

Yamaha says 100:1 since 1983 or so.

What is your problem?

Check your owners manual for the proper mix. No manual? Call your local dealer.

Hi SeanM
100-1 fuel ratio only with YAMLUBE!.
most other makes of 2 stroke oil are for 50-1 ratio. :)

Re: Yamaha 20hp

Thanks,

I find it does seem to be running rich at 50:1. ie. too much smoke. I have not been using yamlube, does it make a big difference?
