HAD A VOLT METER ON BATTERYS PLUS MY CHART PLOTTER SHOWS VOLTAGE dash meter starts flashing after it gets to 15.5 like it telling me something is wrong. at idle is 13.5 at 3500 16.2 Had a used motor put on a few days ago and that's when it started trying to get my rectifier off old motor had no problem with that one?ThanksMight be wrong, but I’m not sure a faulty rectifier would produce more volts as a failing. Sorry to ask, but have you verified this using a meter on the actual battery ? Or are you going by the readout on the dash ?
Ah. Fair play. Sounds like it’s a genuine over voltage then. Got you. So you must have a combined regulator/rectifier type on your engine. Sounds like you know what you have to do then.HAD A VOLT METER ON BATTERYS PLUS MY CHART PLOTTER SHOWS VOLTAGE dash meter starts flashing after it gets to 15.5 like it telling me something is wrong. at idle is 13.5 at 3500 16.2 Had a used motor put on a few days ago and that's when it started trying to get my rectifier off old motor had no problem with that one? Thanks
