Yamaha 2004 250HP HPDI no thrust ?

Was running at about 4800 RPM's when I lost drive .. engine revved I backed off.
Able to make it home on a very slow go.
Thought I blew my gear case but I replaced with a spare gear case and same exact symptom.
Motor is running fine.
Goes into gear and prop turn both forward and reverse but no thrust, engine revs when you juice it.

Seems like I lost connection to crank case ?

Messed with the neutral safety switch no joy.

Anyone with any input it is appreciated.

sounds like the prop is slipping.
did you use the same prop?

Perform a wot hub slip test, will know 100% if that's the issue..
