My 2000 Ficht 200 recently blew apart and looking at a new engine instead of flushing more money down an endless drain. As much as the Evinrude dealer would like me to look at the new 200 E-TEC, have to switch to a Yamaha. Every mechanic, engine owner, posts on these forums, etc. has a different opinion on the Yamaha options. I've read about issues with all and understand some differences (weight, hole shot, expense), but have only one key factor as my 70 year old dad will be using the boat as well - which is the best for RELIABILITY?
