Hi folks,
I've struggled trying to get a new plastic fuel tank working with my motor. It's a Scepter 12L style sold in Canada, so not the EPA sealed ones. It has a small vent screw on the cap but it doesn't seem to let pressure out when open. When used, it runs for a few minutes and then stalls and seems to flood the engine. I thought it might be because of these new type tanks so I installed an Attwood Flow Demand Valve and thought that might fix it. Now the bulb never gets hard and the engine stalls from no gas I think.
This is all very frustrating. The original steel tank works fine so it's not the motor.
Any suggestions on what's happening. I haven't try running with the cap open with the FDV nor without. I think that will be my next try.
Thanks,
