150HP Yamaha VMax 2-stroke that runs great when cold...ran it several times up and down the lake for a total of 24 miles stopping to idle at the end of each run (6 miles/run)...stopped the motor several times as well and cranked back up just fine. Ran it for over an hour doing the stop/start with no issues...Got back to the ramp and when put to neutral, it died...wouldn't start at all...tried pumping it, tried the manual choke (let it sit several minutes between), tried electric choke...nothing helps...

This is the 3rd time out that this has happened after long runs and the motor gets warm...no indications of overheating or audible tones...load it up, get it home...hook the water hose up to it, nothing going...same thing...take the cowling off and pull both fuel pumps and they do not expel fuel when the bulb is pumped and it does not loose firmness when pumps are installed...pulled the spark plugs (brand new) and noticed a little more oil on the plugs than normal...pulled off the air breather and tried it again and it fired up perfectly...this dumbfounds me to no end now...but the motor could be cooled down enough by now to start normally...(running ethanol free fuel with sea-foam additive from after the 2nd run)...

Please give me some new ideas...

I think you need to post the model # to get the proper responses you are looking for, along with a little more history of what has been going on and what all you have done already.
I would check to see if you are getting spark when this happens
