I have a Yamaha 2013 4 stroke. Bought it brand new back in 2015. Have 1300hour on it then few months ago starting to having trouble. Found out that on the block exhaust had a hole from corrosion and the whole lower part where the oil pan exhaust has more. JB weld twice abs only lasted weeks. Can anyone help me tell me what it this happening and if there’s anything I can do to fix it. Does welding help? Called my dealer but they didn’t know and not very helpful. Email Yamaha both but didn’t have response yet

Hi I have had the same problem. 2015 F150 with 360hrs. Yamaha say dry corrosion in the exhaust area is the by-product of using fuels with a high sulphur content. I find this hard to understand as I have always used 91 octane from one of the big fuel suppliers. If the motors are not suitable for the local fuels then maybe they should not be selling here.
