Ok
This engine has been in a couple shops before it hit mine, but prior to my hands it has had this same issue...
It appears to be pumping water but very weak stream ....

Parts list

Complete impeller kit
New poppit spring , gromet ect
New thermostats
Gaskets
New base gasket
New head gaskets

This engine had been running hot fir awhile
The base gasket was blown and all bolts on everything were loose..

I saw traces of water that appeared to seeping from between block and heads...
Now with the carbs clean the engine is happy now but still no water to the block or to the water psi outlet..

Replace the complete water pump (trust me) Also be sure to reseal the rubber block that separates the waterpump inlet from the exhaust outlet. Its a rubber strip that spans the width of the gear case.

Re: Yamaha 150 ProV Over heat issue..HELP

check inside the w.pump housing and see if there is any melted "housing plastic" obstructing the outlet. If so, it means the stainless cup has likely moved up into the housing and blocked off the bleed hole....= poor pumping
