My engine doesn't start immediately after I stop the boat engine quickly. It only happens when I stop the engine quickly after cruising and RPM is high. It doesn't happen when I am idling or I cruise and slow down the boat gradually and finally stop the engine.
Symptoms: engine turns over, fuel pump is soft. I start pumping the fuel pump holding it correctly and pump fuel into engine. I start the engine 20 times. First it doesn't start, then it starts but dies immediately. Finally starts and idles and I can speed up...
Facts: I have only one engine on my boat, battery fully charged, fuel filter replaced a year ago, fuel filter has been checked....
It sounds like fuel problem.... The strange thing that it only happens when I stop the boat immediately or quick slow down AND STOPPING THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY AFTER... it never happens when I gradually slow down from plane and stop the engine...
Any ideas???
