Hi,

I have on

2013 Yamaha 115 4stroke outboard power loss problems.

The engine always starts, idle and run at throttle under 3,000 rpm. It bogging down at higher throttle settings and would only run well again after throttling down for a minute or two. The longer I let it struggle at higher throttle the longer it takes to settle down again at lower throttle.

Fuel tank cleaned-ok,

injectors-ok,

fuel/water separator-ok,

fuel filters-ok

What could the problem be?

Silly question, but how much have you been running your engine. With today's fuels, if you do not run it enough, many issues can develop. I had surgery and mine sat up for about 3 months. When I took it out, it started easy, ran pretty good until I opened it up then it would bog down, rev up, bog down, etc. I had to have (not sure exactly what it is called) the SVT filters cleaned. After this, it ran like new...Mechanic said, "These engines are made to run, so run it"...
