XL800 Loss of Power

I have a 2001 Yamaha XL800 with 135 hours. It use to do 63mph, but last year I was lucky to go 45mph. This year I can't get it above 6000 rpm or about 24mph. I had it to a shop who rode it around for 30 minutes and said is was a fuel problem, they added a fuel treatment but it still doesn't run right. It starts and idles fine but won't do much more then that, plugs look fine and fuel filter looks clear. Any ideas?

Within "Normal Range" per the first shop. Cheching out the fuel **** per another shop. $35 part, worth a try.

I have the same problem with my seadoo xp 800 thing idles fine but when giving it gas it just doesn't go except sometimes out of no where it will take off, cleaned fuel filter and nothing happened.

Was wondering if you had any luck with yours???

No luck, new fuel filter, new fuel **** and treated the fuel system, still the same problem.
