Whoever made it was not very big in the industrial design department. It kinda looks like a weasel.

What is it you do in your spare time QC? I don't think this is the first time you've come up with something strange. What, do you just punch 'weird, strange things' into Google?

No, I check eBay almost every day for new boats listed. I cut off around 1000 miles. If I was even gonna consider pullin' the trigger, I'm probably not towing any further. This one is on a 26' Hawaiian which is somewhat of a favorite hull. I want to restore a 26' Sleekcraft Ambassador or maybe one of these some day. Weird though that's for sure. Some of it looks familiar, but then nothing does . . .

That Appears to be a Slightly different version of the drives on My Houseboat,.......
That would make it a Dana Drive, originally by Chyrsler...........

Yeah, I was thinkin' of your boat too, but the nose cone adn the taper to the prop. Must use thru hull exhaust and water as I see no intake grates . . .

The Hinge Pin, Swivel Pin, Upper drives Looks like my Dana's,.....
Mine are Also both Thru-hull for the Water,+ the Exhaust.......
That might be a Light boat, Hi-Speed edition of the Ship's Driveline my houseboat has..............
The phrase "Built like a Mack Truck" comes to mind..................

I just went to Marysville Marine, to have a Look,..... Their on-line Catalog seems to be Down,..... No pictures today.........

Bondo, does your drive shift in the upper? 'cause the lower on QC's picture doesn't look like there is any room for gear changing.

Other than the fact that there's 1 Place to buy Parts for it,........
I Disagree.......

Mine are built Super Tough,..... Super Simple to Work On,....
I went thru the 2 on the Houseboat last July,... The Special Tools consisted of a set of end-wrenches,+ a BFH........
And,..... They hold 8qt.s of Gear Grease,...... Talk about Reserve Oil Capacity,+ Cooling.......
No Wonder everything in Mine looked New, instead of showing it's 37 Years of Age.......

it may be super easy to work on and almost never break but when it does... if there is only one place to get parts then that could turn into no place overnight.
