Hey,

Bit confused whether the previous owner has used the wrong hose on the thermostat to circulation pump or he has taken the additional joiner and hose off ? seems to be slightly kinked my engine is a 5.0 tks serial: 0l023213 .

When I use mercruiser parts with my engine serial the cloesf hose seems to be on the other side of the thermostat and has a joiner with a secondary short Hose (32-861590A05) but the part number 32-87108 shown on my current hose comes up with a fuel hose?... confused.

Just replaced the water circ pump, idler ,power steering pump pulley ( upgraded metal pulley) and belt so noticed it.

Photos attached Thanks guys

The hose looks like it might have another 1/4" to go onto the recirculating pump fitting, which may help. Otherwise it looks OK . . . not perfect, but OK.

Yeah looking at it think your right, I'll loosen the clamp and try push it on a bit more. Only thing that has me confused is mercruiser parts refer to this other hose 32-861590A05 I think its the one in the pic i have attached.

Well If I google mercruisers part it shows some hoses with an elbow a drain plug attached the photo. This is why I'm confused the hoses seem to include these joiners and the extra hose.

Ayuh,...... If you winterize dry, like I do,.....
That hose with a plug in it, will negate havin' to pull that hose off the water pump,....

I added a section with a plug to my existing hose. Much easier to drain the engine now. l hated wrestling with that hose.

That probably isn't the merc part number that's printed on your hose

The original 87108 was just a molded hose, eventually there was a drain plug added and the part numbers superceded a few times over the years.
