We leave our v-berth made up as a bed and cook/eat in the cockpit when we are sleeping on our boat. It's a trailer boat, so we only sleep on it maybe 10-20 nights a season.

Based on the obvious beaminess of the boat in the photo and assuming that's the master berth pictured, I'm guessing it's a pretty big day-boat, designed to entertain a crowd, with "weekending" for a couple as a secondary or tertiary function. Seems like a reasonable compromise for a boat like that. That said, if I had a boat that big, it would not be a day boat and I'd insist upon a dedicated and private master berth arranegment.

Yea i wish i had to ponder that one too. Ive never slept on a boat in my life! I did one time catch a nap when i was fishing and slept til i got a bite. The bite of a rail road car 45 feet underneath the boat. It almost pulled the rod out of my hand but it woke me up. I some day would like to have a boat like that. I probably will never own one but who knows i play the lottery from time to time.

depends on how many people on board in the day time. if lots.. the table would come up. if just me and my girl.....the bed would stay as a bed....heh ...heh...heh

i agree with those guys. i'd be more worried about my legs hanging off the end, it looks a little short.

Hey there

When I am doing anything that I would consider physically annoying such as continuously making a bed....I just use a positive mind set and think of it as EXERCISE.
Think healthy and think fun!!!
