It will work but not very well. If you have an Atwood surge brake coupler you may be ok.

i have the dico 20 model surge coupler.I would like to get a weight distribution setup.i thought if it uses chains it works. This from my surge coupler instruction sheet

All TITAN surge brake actuators are fully compatible with equalizing hitches. When using weight distributing hitches
with TITAN actuators, observe the following rules:
I) Allow six to eight inches of free chain length,
2) The chains must be vertical (straight up and down) under pulling load, and
3) Tongue weight beyond the specified actuator rating WILL interfere with brake performance.

http://www.titan-intl.com/media/model20ii.pdf

This is the instruction sheet off the Titan site and makes no mention of equilizing hitches.

My father had a roller system welded up so that equilizing hitches would work with his DICO 20 unit. Basically what it does is have a setup where the equalizing bars atatch to a set of bars that weld up to the tongue of the coupler and ride on a roller assembly on the trailer.

A previous boat trailer had the same DICO coupler and just used the chain style equilizing bars. The brakes never worked as well as they should have due to the chains increasing their tension as the surge unit tried to operate.

Yes...I have seen that type also. The bars are allowed to slide where they mount to the trailer.

I see that your link has similar info to the one I posted. I would give Titan a call and see what they say.

will do.I would like to get just for the fact of hauling a 8000 lb boat/trailer.My only other concern is how well do they actually work on a boat trailer? Every setup i've seen for those hitchs are for a a-frame trailer but a boat's trailer a-frame doesn't start just past the tongue/coupler.I know on my trailer the tongue is almost 6 feet long before it spilts into a A
