Would like to find out the exact model and year

Hi guys, I?m from Argentina and recently bougth and Starcraft and working on a restoration. Do any of you know the exact model?

I'm assuming it?s a "QuestStar" but doing some research on Internet I found some pics. They look similar but doesn?t look like mine.

Lets start w a year for your Starcraft.

Its got a metal ID tag or letters/numbers stamped into the hull on the top right corner of the transom. The ID tag is the boats hull identification number (HIN) as your boat was clearly made after 1974, that # will tell us what year it was made.

I suspect that its a QuestStar model based on the name plate pix you posted, but a search for that model doesnt pull up boats that look like yours. And it seems an odd location for the name plate. Perhaps the plate was put there because there wasnt a typical glovebox on the port side or it was moved when someone took the glovebox door off the passenger console to mount that stereo.

Thank you buddy. I will find that out during the weekend since the boat is not with me right now. I believe in Argentina it was registered in 1980 so I?m assuming it was made before that. Pretty nice forum lots of good stuff!

Just confirms it's a QuestStar 18ftr I/O model

Yes but it?s weird. When searching on the web for that model doesn?t look like mine.

Actually in Argentina it was registered in 1980 so it has to be older than that

Questar may nave been an export model and not sold in the States. :noidea:

There is a sticker or tag on the starboard side of the transom. That should have the HIN number in it.
