Would an 8" Jack Plate Create Too Much Stress?

Hey All, I am looking to install a jack plate onto my boat as the motor is sitting about 3" too low and causing a lot of back spray against the transom and out the sides. I have a 2005 Polar 1900CC with a 2020 Suzuki 140. The max HP rating for the boat is 150. I am looking at Bob's Action Series jack plates and was going to get the 6" set back model, but saw the 8" is currently on sale and cheaper than the 6" model. Would the 8", or the 6" for that matter, create too much strain on the transom since I am already so close to the max rating? Or is 8" too much to where it could potentially cause other issues? Thanks in advance for any insight!

with 8 inch set back you need to consider things like cables control and steering , fuel lines , how high and low the motor will come with the jack plate up and down,
general boat ride and steering are other thing s people forget when fitting jack plates..

are you running a 25 motor on a 20 transom ?.

8 inch set back IMHo is better suited to racing or high performance rather than rec fishing .
spend the extra and go with 6 inch, most of the time 6inch is plug and play.
