Would Aluminum tritoon bottom paint be absolutely needed in saltwater for just six weeks?

I have a small tritoon houseboat that is being constructed to be taken to FLA for 6 weeks. I am now fighting the weather up north and may not get to the toons being bottom painted for this trip. Can I keep the boat in salt for the six weeks without bottom paint? The boat has been in freshwater since new.
Thank you!!

In salt water micro organisms starts to grow in less than 2 weeks if the hull, toons have not been treated with antifouling paint soon after the standard bottom paint has been applied. Any Karcher type washing machine will take care of any growth...

Thanks for your reply...I understand the growing of "Stuff" rather quickly...My question is more in actual immediate or long term degradation issues of the aluminum being in the saltwater for just 6 weeks.

I would apply a layer or two of shark hide. its a metal protectant made for protecting pontoons in salt water.
