Here I am again with yet another question. Without sounding like an idiot what the heck is "WOT"? I see it a lot when I am surfing the forums and just wondered.

Thanks,
Patrick

Re: Wot?

Not a dumb question - it's one of those common acronyms that plauge us:

Wide
Open
Throttle

That is to say, the accellerator set to "Full speed". If you look down the carburetor's throat at the throttle butterfly plate, you'll see why it's called WOT.

Hope this helps!

Re: Wot?

Thanks Paul. I figured the "WO" was for wide open, but I couldn't seem to figure out what the "T" was for. OH well, too much time spent in the sun I guess....LOL

Re: Wot?

There is another acronym we used in the world of motorcycle racing. WFO. Stands for wide "frightening" open. or something like that
