can someone tell me what max factry rpm is at WOT and if u can put an rpm gauge on a 58 rude 35hp lark?? thanks sorry for all the ?s im new at old motors

Back then, if memory serves me right, the top rated rpm of that model was 4800 rpm. I don't have the book in front of me but that's what I remember.

The '58 produces 35hp at 4500 RPMs

And if you get it upwards of 5000 you might start breaking crankshafts, so it's kinda critical to keep it in the 4500 ballpark...
