What's up with my 86', 4 cyl 140hp Chrysler? It's on a 16' Glastron Runabout. WOT is about 3500 rpm, and roughly 22 - 30 mph depending on load. I am proped with a 13"x17 pitch prop which doesn't sound like to much for a 140, so I haven't changed it yet. Compression is 125 on each cylinder. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!

Has it always done that or is this a new development?

Re: WOT is blah....

When I got this boat (recently), it never seemed to get up and go like I expected out of 140 hp, so I was weary of compression, but it checked out good. After several trip to the lake with the family, dog, lots of stuff, etc. on board and pulling skiers, it seems to have gotten worse...
