Worth of Trailer?

Found a 20' Webcraft Boat and Trailer going for $150. 4 hour drive each way to get it.<br /><br />Boat is trashed, engine missing. Says out drive is still there, have VERY little info to go on, awaiting more info and pictures.<br /><br />I am interested in this for the trailer. 20' Trailer, Dual axel, 13" wheels.<br /><br />Think I could make a profit after driving and referbing a '79 trailer?

Probably. Heck, I would love to have the trailer to replace my single axle. I would buy it at that price and toss the boat+keep the drive for resale or parts.

That's what I figure on.<br /><br />I could probably get my $150 back on useable parts of the boat, outdrive parts, dock cletes, steering wheel...who knows...<br /><br />going to see if the guy will meet me half way.

It Sounds like a Really Good Deal......<br />I think I'd bring my Jack, Toolbox,+ a bucket of Grease..... <br />Service the Bearings, Right there, Before you Try to Drag it 200 Miles........<br />You'll Also want grab a couple Spares to bring with you.... 4 or 5 bolt wheels ????<br />Dry Rot can Really Ruin a Good Day......<br />Good Luck...

got a lil more info on this thing, he was skunked by a buyer that never picked it up, 4 tires new 2 years ago, and stated bearings and lights were ready to hit the road. <br /> but good point on the spare. hopefully the ole donut sitting in the shed will work. at least it's tandum axel.... pop a tire, take the wheel off and limp it to the next exit/walmart.

E-bay any good parts off the boat and the trailer will pay for itself..

the setup ended going for over $350 ... and after $60+ in gas to go get it... passed it up.
