3. well the boat MIGHT see water, but hes still an idiot.

Ya know, some people just like to comptete. They never use their products, just like to trick them out as best as they can (read: as much as they can afford). Think of it as an ill gotten sport. Something for those who "can't" to do so they feel as good or better than those who "can".

To me all that stuff is a real waste of money. To the owner, it is the best boat/quad combo anyone has ever seen (in their mind).

Hey, just think of it as a life style. One that a majority of the people would not subscribe to, but free speach etc allowes them to keep cool hardware off their designed surfaces.

No skin off my nose. Go for it.

Ya i never said i would want it, in my mind it is increably inpractical. I think it is kinda cool but i agree that it is a waste of money.
I will be driving a beat up 84 bronco II and pulling a 14 ft Sea Nymph; they aint pretty but they get me from point A/B and on the water.
-nothing fancy for me

It'd be a darn shame if they forgot to put in the drain plug when launching it down at the marina, wouldn't it? 8)

There is one reason and one reason only this was done. Business! This is a mobile display and very likely a business write-0ff. Will the boat see water? Certainly -- but that's not the purpose of the exercise.

There was a tv show a few months ago, it followed a custom boat builder on his projects.
One week, they made a boat with a super stereo in it, it might even be this one, who knows.

Well, when they fired it up, the sound vibrations were so severe, it cracked the hull. 8)

It was on a show that had a compition to see who could build the loudest boat in i think 48 hrs. Not bad for that amount of time.
Im with Frog; seeing the builder's face when the hull cracked would be priceless.
