A little late this morning, missed the first period.
But the second is looking good so far, Canada 5 to 2.

Saw the 2nd and 3rd myself but was too lazy to go get the laptop after my "long winters nap" Canada looked strong but will be properly challenged when they face a stronger team.

Yeah, sorry about not checking in earlier during game time...I was up and watching the game...bit early tho' to successfully and coherently type!! LOL.
I love this tournament (no secret)...particularly the coaching, which I think is what helps these kids step it up. Thats why I'm glad they were able to convince Brent Sutter to get back in the drivers seat this year after what....4 years away?
I thought the first period was pretty much in step with these tournaments with everyone trying to find their feet, minimize their mistakes, etc.
Then the 2nd period started to show some more cohesiveness....getting better again in the 3rd.
I've read a lot about Connor McDavid....pretty young to be in this tournament at 16 years old....but damn, he had some very good chances and some great skill.
Looking forward to all of it...and this afternoon the American kids are it with the Czechs and that will probably be a good game to catch as well.
Ok guys...we are underway, game on and all the best of the season to you all!!
Regards,
BP
