My Yamaha 175hp seems to turn just fine when its warm, but when it gets cold, the engine won't turn. New steering cables installed, but does the same thing. My mechanic thinks that it might be corrosion, but he says that to really get at the spot, the head needs to be removed and its a big labor cost. Any thoughts on what this might be or how to fix it?
