2007 40 hp merc big foot,,,,,,,,,,,,

After sitting for a year motor will not start. replacede gas, checked everything I can think of. One ting I noticed is when engageing choke with the key I do not hear a clicking sound which I am sure I did before could it be the choke and where do I find ??

Not familiar with this particular motor, but if it has a carb (not fuel injected) then open the cover, and watch to see if the choke closes when you engage it with the key. There may be a manual override on the choke, but in all honesty a 2007 motor is too new for me to sure!

Sorry it is a fuel injected but still has a choke that operates with the key I am almost potive that is the problem I am like you new engines ans I do not mix very well. But thanks for trying
