Howdy......yes, I've got a rough idle. I dumped it in the water for the first start-up after 2 years. From previous posts you might know that I've rebuilt the carbs, new plugs, new filters, new fuel lines, etc. I have not pressure-tested the VRO2 or cleaned the pulse limiter. Those may follow.

Since I didn't alter the throttle linkages, I didn't do a S & L. They open and close simultaneously, so I think I'm good there.

I want to take it out and adjust the slow speed screws and also see how she runs at higher rpms. But at idle it is bouncing between 650-450 rpms and won't stay running more than a minute. It starts back up immediately every time. It also runs smooth up in the 1500 range in gear on the trailer.

Should I just increase the idle rpms to 850 to keep her running while I adjust the screws and then back down when I'm done?

Yes.......You sometimes have to do that.
