Hello all,
Just picked up my first boat. Proud to say is is an 1987 18' Seaox dc in pretty good shape. The hull is solid... The motor seems reliable... (I think.) The trailer is newer with soild tires. BUT... The wiring looks pretty rough. What can I expect to pay to have the wiring completely redone? Or should I consider taking the project on with little experience???
Thanks for the help!

Re: Wiring

trailer wiring or boat wiring?

if its the trailer its quite easy buy a set of submersable tail lights should be around $30. and how ever long your trailer is, add 5-10 feet for mistakes always good to have a little slack.

then white is ground bolted to the frame or wires directly to each light.
black or brown is your tail lights and side markers if applicable.
green is right side blinker and yellow is left side blinker, i think.
its an extreamly easy thing to do you just need to get under there and rip out the old to install the new.

Welcome to iboats!

There is a forum section devoted to wiring and related questions right here. Perhaps a friendly moderator will move your post there.;)

It appears the question is about trailer wiring, moving to Trailer and Towing forum.

Might want to change those solid tires to the inflatable kind, much smoother ride   :p

Re: Wiring

Thanks for the redirect! It's actually the boat that needs rewired. Yikes.
