Does anyone know if a 1963 28hp speeditwin can be wired to an old 60's Keifer (old merc.) tach which came in my boat. It has matching tach and mph gauges and would like to use. Can you tell me how to wire it up? Thanks

If I were gona try it. I would look for a grey wire comeing from engine. It should be in your control box some place.

Then Idd hook it to tach. where it says send. And run a ground wire if it dosen all ready have one.

Idd tinker with diffrent settings on tach. if it even has any diff. setings.

Idd find one that sorta looked like it was reading in the neighborhood of where I think the engine is ideling. 750 or so.

Then Idd try to borrow or rent an optical tach. and check it out.

Thats what Idd do! Nothing ventured nothing gained.....Grin!

Good luck!
