I took the wires off my 24v trolling motor batteries to have the batteries checked. One ended up no good so I got a new one. Apparently, I didn?t pay enough attention when taking the wires off of both batteries. I have the Pos battery switch wire going to let?s call it #2 battery Pos post. From #2 battery I believe I should run a cable from the Neg post to the Pos post on battery #3. Can I put some other Pos wires on that same post?

I'm not familiar with trolling motors but I know about electric circuits. If this is what you are talking about, the picture shows an acceptable circuit.

This is pretty close to what I am talking about. The battery next to starting battery I am calling # 2 and the next one is # 3.
Can I put other POS wires on # 2 POS post even though there will be a NEG wire already attached to that post going to NEG # 3? Or only put the other POS wires on # 3 POS post? Also, can I put other NEG wires on # 3 NEG post even though there is that wire coming from POS # 2 to NEG # 3?
This connecting a NEG wire to a POS post is confusing the heck out of me!

Yes. Current draw goes from 2 POS to 2 NEG. The NEG post of 1 and 2 are together, so they are the same ground so far as voltage out put for Bat 1 or 2
