I have a 35 hp Merc that does not have tilt/trim. I recently purchased a CMC PT 35.
My boat "88"Fisher motor is 88 or 89.
I have a trim switch on the shift at the console and traced the wires into the motor cowling and they work with this switch. I also have a switch on the back deck at the transom which does not seem to be hooked to anything. Switch has the greenwhite trim down, bluewhite trim up, and a red wire hot. they come down from the switch and connect to a harness one end goes under the deck and I cannot find where it comes out, the other end goes across the inside back of the transom and ends there (not hooked to anything).
How do I wire this switch in so it works ????
Do I connect all the green white together ???
do I connect all the blue white together ??
What do I do with the extra hot wire( from the transom switch)

If I am reading you correctly, greenwhite/ to green/ white, bluewhite/ to bluewhite/. The switch at the transom has to have 12V going to it too.

Looks like the spell checked didn't like my slashes.

So basically the green/white on the motor, transom switch, and the trim unit get hooked together?
The blue/white on the motor, transom switch and the trim unit get hooked together?
The red wire on the transom switch goes to 12 volt power.
The red wire on the shift lever is already hooked to power source.
Correct ????? Thanks for the help
