I have a 1989 Bluefin with a Force 50 and am trying to find the wiring diagram for the voltmeter.
The other question is what is a good way to test the voltmeter, I only have one terminal on the
backside of the gauge.

Re: Wiring/testing a voltmeter

Every voltmeter has a pos (+) and Neg (-) connection. The terminal is probably (+) ... connect it to a switched positive, the negative (or ground) is probably thru the metal mounting frame, 2which will need a wire connected to a good ground (-). Very easy to check by temporarily connecting a wire to the terminal, touching it to the battery positive (+) and the mounting frame to the battery (-). The voltmeter should read about 12.6 volts.
Jim

Thanks, your'e advice was right. In pulling off the meter I found the markings for '+' on the backside of the gage. It now works.
